Professional Healthcare Advocates

The Bridge RN Patient Advocates

Bridging the gaps from diagnosis to healing through personalized and holistic assessment, goal setting, planning and advocacy.

What is Patient Advocacy?

The purpose of individual RN patient advocacy is for a registered, experienced nurse to educate and inform patients and their families about their current health status. Our model is holistic and examines all aspects of health and well being, including conventional and integrative approaches.

Our focus is on short term services to provide education and resources so that our clients are able to communicate their needs and make informed choices. You will feel empowered and in control of managing your health and ultimately become your own advocate.

The Bridge RN Patient Advocates provides in person service to the following areas: Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, Ahwatukee, Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, and Phoenix. We also provide consultations and services via phone and video conferencing.

Feeling Overwhelmed?

Our goal is to help decrease fears and concerns to reach better outcomes.

Here For Our Clients

From the start of Melissa's arrival at the hospital, she was extremely caring and thorough. I could tell that she was well versed in all aspects of nursing and hospital care. She was patient with my mom, whom if you knew my mother, could be extremely difficult. She was not afraid to ask questions of the staff or doctors in the hospital, even through the non-professionalism of a particular nurse. She took control of that situation and accomplished her goal for that visit. She also encouraged my mom to try harder in Physical Therapy. Melissa spent countless hours on the phone with me and went above and beyond her responsibilities. Honestly, she truly became a friend. I highly recommend her as a nurse, advocate, ability to lead and her caring nature. She is truly the best and she made our horrible experience a little more bearable. She even kept in touch after my mom was moved to skilled nursing and out of the scope of her traveling distance. I cannot recommend her enough.

Melissa has been an absolute godsend for our family! We are all out of state and cannot be there to attend to, witness, and help with the many medical, physical, social and psychological needs our aging parents have living in their own home. Melissa is professional, compassionate, and reliable. She has developed an honest and trusting relationship with my parents which is invaluable. She communicates regularly with us siblings to keep us informed of their status and progress so we can work as a team. Without Melissa, my parents would not be able to enjoy living in their own, familiar home for as long as they have resulting in a better quality of life for both of them...and peace of mind for us kids!

Melissa’s guidance and direction in navigating my husband’s healthcare has been life changing. She taught me how to be an advocate for my husband. She designed a “Road Map to Health”. The goals included; changing diet, research medications, clarify concerns for the doctors. She helped find the doctors and would call ahead to explain our situation and make sure it was the right fit. She has also attended appointments with us. I have and will continue to recommend Melissa, she is the best!

Melissa has been a wonderful asset to have on board to help manage my chronic illness. She is focused on my complete self and my well being, instead of just concerned about treating symptoms. Melissa has opened my eyes to other possibilities and has given me hope.

I have had Melissa Cardine on my “medical team” advocating on my behalf for about two years now, and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone.  She is easy to work with, personable, and has an insight into the health care system that is all too rare.  These days the health care establishment is extremely convoluted and confusing to navigate, but Melissa brings many years of first-hand knowledge as a nurse to the table and frequently suggests strategies for pursuing treatment and getting procedures covered by insurance that would never occur to me.  I have an unusually complex medical situation for a young person, and with Melissa’s help I have been able to delegate enough of my health-related stresses and tasks to her to enable me to attend graduate school and live a fulfilling life.  I’m sure she can do the same for you or your loved one.
